Terms of use

These terms cover cheerambassadors.org and the Cheer Ambassadors family of projects, websites and services (including Cheer Map, TryCheer, Cheer Calendar, Cheer Showcase, Cheer Spotlight and Athlete of the Month, Stay To Save, Cheer.Community and Cheer.Market), and Cheer Ambassadors’ social media pages, groups and profiles (for example on Facebook and BAND). They are run by Cheer Ambassadors, LLC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN 99-4362458).

Using this site

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't misuse it, try to break it, or copy its content for other directories or commercial use without permission.

Our programs and other sites

Some programs also have their own terms (for example the Cheer Calendar listing terms and the Cheer Showcase terms). Those apply in addition to these terms, and where they differ, the program’s own terms apply to that program. Where a program refers families to independent gyms or businesses, Cheer Ambassadors acts in a referral capacity only.

Our social media

Posts and comments on our social media pages and groups must follow that platform’s rules and stay respectful. Please don’t post athletes’ personal contact details, or names or photos of minors without a parent or guardian’s permission. We may remove posts or comments and block accounts at our discretion, especially to protect athletes under 18. Posts by others don’t represent Cheer Ambassadors or mean we endorse them.

Gyms, programs and other third parties

Cheer Ambassadors programs such as Cheer Map and TryCheer help families find and connect with cheerleading gyms, teams and other independent organizations. Cheer Ambassadors doesn't screen, inspect, endorse, certify or guarantee any gym, program, coach or business, including TryCheer partner gyms and listings marked Upgraded or "Managed by the program". Information about them comes from public sources and from the organizations themselves, and it can change or be out of date.

Before committing to a gym or program, parents, guardians and athletes should do their own research. For example:

• Visit the gym or a practice, and meet the coaches.
• Ask about coach safety training and credentials, including any credentials required by the program's governing or sanctioning body, and about background checks.
• Ask about insurance, injury policies, costs and fees, travel requirements, and the parent and athlete handbook.

Cheerleading safety

Cheerleading is an athletic sport with a real risk of injury, including serious injury from tumbling, stunting and pyramids. Please exercise caution:

• Only practice tumbling, stunts and other skills under the supervision of trained, qualified coaches, with proper spotting, matting and equipment.
• Progress step by step: don't attempt a skill before mastering the ones it builds on, and never try skills at home or unsupervised, including ones seen online.
• Check with a doctor before starting, and stop and get medical attention for any injury, especially head, neck or back injuries.

Many organizations publish cheerleading safety guidelines, skill progressions and coaching standards, including sport governing and sanctioning bodies, school athletic associations and coaching organizations. Athletes, parents, guardians and coaches should review the guidelines that apply to their program, age and level before taking part in any cheerleading activity, and follow them.

Information from Cheer Ambassadors and its programs is general and is not a substitute for those guidelines or for in-person instruction by qualified coaches.

Any agreement, payment or participation is between you and that gym or organization. Cheer Ambassadors isn't a party to it and isn't responsible for their actions, safety practices or terms.

Names and logos

"Cheer Ambassadors", "Rock the Mat", the eagle logo and our program names belong to Cheer Ambassadors, LLC.

No warranty

We work hard to keep information accurate, but the site is provided as is, without warranties, and we aren't liable for decisions made based on it.

Copyright concerns

Event listings, channel pages and other content on our sites are often provided by others. If you believe something on our sites infringes your copyright, use our copyright notice form, or send a written notice that identifies the work, the material and where it appears, your contact information, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, with your signature. Send it to our designated agent: 46 North, LLC, PO Box 346, Cable, WI 54821, with a copy by email to [email protected]. We remove infringing material when appropriate, and we may end the accounts, listings or channels of repeat infringers. Removed material shows a notice saying it was removed after a copyright notice, and the person who posted it may send a counter-notice using the same form.
